The Pastafarians: the supporters of the somewhat absurd belief in the flying spaghetti monster. It has grown to be a real phenomenon. Supporters of the Pastafarianism have repeatedly made the news<\/a> for their wish to be photographed for their passports or identity cards with a colander on their head. <\/span><\/p>\n

The argument they use is that they \u2013 as do Jews and Muslims \u2013 wish to cover their heads from a religious perspective. In one particular, recent case the court<\/a> of East-Brabant has put a stop to this and ruled, in accordance with the criterion of the ECHR, that the Pastafarianism in no way demonstrates sufficient seriousness to be regarded as a religion or belief.
