Rotator Cuff Pain
Your rotator cuff is composed of a group of four muscles that run from your shoulder blade to your humerus. These muscles provide movement of the shoulder joint and allow you to lift, extend, and rotate your arms. Partial rotator cuff pain due to a tear can be treated conservatively while complete tears require surgery. Rotator Cuff Pain caused by tendonitis can also be treated conservatively and is usually due to overuse. Both can illicit pain through part or full range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If left untreated the problem becomes chronic and more difficult to fix. Patient will often complain of grinding, clicking, loss of range of motion, popping, tenderness and pain, which are all signs that your body is trying to tell you to treat it before it gets worse.
